Lift and mechanical services
Inspection, installation, repair and mechanical service of vehicle lifts and shop equipment, delivered by RBS Emden LLC.
ALI certified lift inspections
Vehicle lifts should be inspected at least annually by a qualified inspector. Our inspections cover above-ground two-post and four-post lifts, in-ground lifts, alignment racks with rolling jacks and mobile column lifts.
- Structural, hydraulic, cable, lock and control checks against the manufacturer's specification
- Written report per lift with bay number, model and serial
- Repair estimate sent separately when a lift does not pass
- Inspection labels applied on passing lifts
New lift installation
We supply and install new lifts, or install equipment you have already purchased. Installation includes anchoring, power and air connections where required, a full function test and a signed installation sign-off with photos.
- Two-post lifts from 10,000 lb to 18,000 lb, symmetric and versymmetric
- Four-post storage and alignment lifts with rolling jacks and turn plates
- In-ground scissor and piston lifts
- Mobile column lifts for trucks and buses
- Stack adapter kits, height extensions, organizer racks and accessories
Equipment orders are confirmed with a 50% deposit. The balance is due on installation. Site obstacles must be cleared before the crew arrives; time spent clearing a bay is billed as labor.
Repair and mechanical service
Most service calls are diagnosed and repaired on the first visit. Typical work includes:
- Resealing leaking hydraulic cylinders, replacing fittings, bleeding and testing the hydraulic system
- Replacing equalizer cables, sheaves, sheave covers and bearings
- Safety latch, lock spring, cam and lock solenoid replacement
- Diverter valves, air lines and air hose fittings
- Anchor replacement and column re-anchoring
- Grease fittings, silicone and preventive maintenance on inspection visits
Shop equipment
We also service tire changers, wheel balancers, rolling jacks and exhaust extraction systems. A sticking foot pedal, a broken return spring or a worn clamp leg is usually fixed the same day.

Service area
Crews are based in the Mid-Atlantic and travel regularly through Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, North Carolina and northern Ohio. Service calls outside the core area carry a fuel surcharge that is quoted before dispatch.
